Task E- Objectives, partnership and deliverables
First, to organise dedicated workshops and expert meetings in order to get acquainted with elaborated forest fire scenarios of macroregional impact. Second, to elaborate possible models to use of risk mapping as a supporting tool. This includes reviewing and evaluation of existing simulation models for forest fire propagation and fire behaviour. Third, on this basis, to develop the use of instruments to do risk analysis of forest fires and give increased knowledge on how to use simulation models in forest fire prevention and preparedness. Finally, with consideration of the available results from spreading models and simulation models give suggestions towards a macroregional tool and approach for forest fire risks and which also can be used as national risk assessments for the purposes of prevention and preparedness.
